“A person who helped me the most with my mental heath was my middle school drama teacher. She was always there to talk to students when they needed her and she was an open book. My teacher shared her own personal experience with us, normalizing mental health and making her a person anyone can turn to if they need her. When I need help with my mental health, I could always count on my school and family. My family has always been there for me day and night to make me meals when I was hungry and to be by my side when I needed someone to talk to. My school has been there for me, giving me a glimpse of the real world and giving me friends that I can count on. My mental health has been negatively affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. I was at an all-time high in my life before all this happened — placing in a huge art show, writing a play and even finally starting to understand algebra, but that all crumbled to the ground once everything closed. To promote my mental health during this tough time I am using it to create art and hopefully start to build my career. My family has also started to foster two amazing dogs and being able to love them has made me so happy. The last thing I have been doing to promote my mental health is to check up on others because I know I am not alone in this and making sure my friends and family are also okay makes my days so much better. For everyone else stuck in quarantine, I know this is a rough time but it has given us all time to reflect and become better people, and I can't wait to see what we can bring to the world once this is over.” — Noah, @thesmsd @ATT #BelieveKC .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ .⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ #youmatter #zeroreasonswhy #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealth #endthestigma #stopthestigma #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalwellness #mentalillness #mentalillnessawareness #mentalhealtheducation #mentalhealthmatters #suicideprevention #teensuicide #depression #anxiety #bethechange #listen #bettertogether #kansascity #bekind #neveralone #togetherapart #apartnotalone #covidkindness #itsokaynottobeokay #hope
